Default Bang'n & bending on metal in Collinsville Illinois

What's up everyone!! Coming to you live from the armpit of the midwest, about 15 mins. from the Arch.

I have been on here for a while but mostly just sat back and observed. Now I'm looking for anyone near me that would like to talk and work on metal projects. I'm still really new to the working & forming sheet metal but I'm extremely interested in learning! I have a pretty extensive background with welding and some blacksmithing. So anyone in the area want to teach me some stuff or someone just wanna chat about anything drop me a line!!

Later ,
Chris

Welcome Chris, Sounds like you are fairly close to Uncle Johnny in Staunton.

I'm working on making tools at this time! I just finished up making 3 baseball bat hammers. One is 15",ones 17" & the other is 18" and that's the over all head length. One started off as a practice but I didn't do a bad job so I'm going to keep it. I'm getting ready to start making a dolly stand in my welding class. I've got a couple of projects lined up next like a super good dolly stand and a nice big table. After my toolings all done then I will start on the projects. My first one is simple but its just a fire pit out of copper. I like to mix a lot of my welding & heavier metal fabrication in on my projects so I'm going to make a nice stand for that fire pit. I'm pretty much lost after that as to what I'm going to do. Please feel free to shoot out some suggestions!!
