Default 3 in 1 Press, Guillotine, Rollers

Hi all,

I am thinking of buying this machine. Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience using this machine? If yes I would appreciate your opinion of it, its pros and cons etc, before I go ahead and purchase it.

Thanks in advance,

Dawnbringer

Depends on your finances and room to store.
One of each, good quality, is best.
I have a smaller "Warco" which has its limitations but, without doubt, is a whole lot better than nothing.
Yours looks better quality and larger, so dependent on cost, looks good.
I use the guillotine and rolls regularly but use a folder more than the press brake section - a bit fussy.
For some reason they always seem, relatively, cheap. They do all the jobs fairly well, but not as well as dedicated equipment.

Thanks Richard for your feedback. Room is not a big problem ATM, but finances are, lol. If this thing can do the job for a while until I save up to buy 3 dedicated machines as you say, then I'm happy. Was wondering if they actually work, lol. As they seem very cheap to me. Maybe I've become cynical in my old age, lol.

Cheers,
Dawnbringer

i have one and its ok, i would prefer to have a panbrake folder but the press brake is ok for what i need. mine has a different name on it but they are all pretty much the same. the working width of mine is 1250mm and max 1.5mm thickness

..I do not want to upset the Mods and ask what brand that yours is, and how much it costs, but would like to know. ...

That will not upset us. AllMetalShaping has no problem with posting names and prices.

Thanks Neil. That machine is 3 times more expensive than the one I was looking at, and weighs 2 times it (So postage would be a lot more expensive). But thanks for showing me, so I could asses the best option for me. At this stage I will go with the smaller, cheaper version, unless I win Tatts tonight, lol.

Thanks mate.

to be honest there pretty much junk .. i hind the roller is ok .. the shear and the folder are only capable of about 1/2 there capacity. yes they are cheap and i guess ok to start with but if you use them a bit you will soon be looking for something better

that just my experience

Default I have had one for over 40 years.

I keep thinking I should sell it. Quality is very cheap. Accuracy is poor. Strength is low. These have been made for many years under many names. Even Harbor Fright sells them. I bought mine through Mech. Illustrated Magazine. The rollers on top bend a lot. The bending fingers are very sharp and won't work for sot aluminum, I lightly rounded the fingers so I could bend aluminum. I also made a single blade and welded .125 drill rod across the whole bending edge. Would I buy another..NO! Fred26t
