That looks fantastic, Mike! So much shape in that bonnet.

I've been thinking about different trimming of the hot air extractors. Maybe slots instead of mesh screen or just this single trim bar.

Mike,

This is absolutely awesome what you have done !! your work is amazing.
May I suggest looking at the XK120 grill for an inspiration. It kind of fits the opening you have and would look real good on this car, In my opinion. I'm a bit partial to the British cars as I have MG and Morris Minor cars, either way keep up the great work.

I like the overall vent and the single bar, Mike but at a a glance my instant reaction is I'm not immediately liking/understanding that mesh. The mesh looks small at the big end compared to the small end. A couple more bars might look better & easier to understand quickly.

What's visible through the vent opening? Mechanical parts, ductwork, ? If it's cool stuff, I would lean more towards bars and treating more like a window.

Clint, I think I'll try 3 bars with no mesh. The screen mesh is consistent, but agree there's some illusion going on. I'll try several different treatments.

I like the mesh. I think the entire vent is very British. The mesh is a spin from a Bentley. A single bar is not too busy and is much like an Aston Martin.

Good eye Rick! The openings are similar to the Aston Martin Vulcan. The shape is tweeked a bit to better match the shape of my scoops. I may try to darken the screen, but that will be finalized after paint. I am pretty happy with it as is. Could it be better? This is an easy change.
