Like how you post your triumphs and your failures.
I know there is years of practice behind every part you make but the way you talk about how you make the parts and the equipment you use makes me feel I could do it. LOL

Thanks for a great thread and I love the car. Keep up the good work, lot of people enjoying this build.

Merry Christmas Jack
Thanks, Mario. Merry Christmas to you.

For the lesser experienced audience . . Jack, recognizing it is thin material, and assuming a leaf brake - have you ever ripped a "wedge" out of wood and placed it between the leaf and material to "massage" the material beyond 90 deg?[/QUOTE]

Marc, I couldn't use the break because of the V shape of the front edge.

Progress. I still need to make tabs to bolt everything together but it looks good. I made another bar that sets on the valance. It looked kind of bare and unfinished without it.

Nice....the older cars usually start off with a face only a mother could love.
It now has a face a mother could also appreciate.

Always like watching your progress Jack.

Might just because of the picture angle or it is not all together, but the centre portion of the bumper between the 'bullets' looks too slender and out of proportion to the rest of the bumper? Thickening that up might change the Dodge look to the grille also?

Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.

Default 49 cad roadster rear bumpers

Hi Jack , I'm new hear , This is one interesting thread .
I was going to comment on your rear bumper . I was thinking that you need the outer ends on the rear of the fenders to make it look good but in between how would a rollpan look with bumperets shaped some what like your side trim or your center grill bar . That would save a lot of heavy shaping , maybe ?
My 2 cents, worth less than you paid for it . I like what you did so far .
I was sad to see the roof go as I have liked that style since I was too young to know what they were called . Anyway great job !
