I'm thinking you'll want some sort of model/example to build to. I love using pink foam insulation board. Laminate a couple of sheets if you need then use a body rasp to get your desired shape. This will maybe 2days work, but you will know in advance the shape you're after. From this foam model, you make templates at intervals that make sense to you, to build your buck. Look in buck section " Building my wooden buck" the modelling process is there. Doesn't need to as extravagant as mine, but the info may be useful to you.
You've got a beautiful drag car there and I'm sure you want that roof to be real nice. Research and taking the time to get right will help.

John, I recently did an roof infill panel and covered it in my build. Might be some tips there to help.

Marcus, forgive me, but your garage is so neat and orderly that it looks like it is ready for a military inspection! Awesome work on your jeep!
