Corrosion at body mounts.
I found this good advice from the folks that build trailers. The tip on using Tape instead of caulk was new to me.

I'm using a product called Protecto-Wrap from Homer Depot. Its sticky on one side with a plastic film outer layer. About half a millimeter thick. 6"X50' for under $20.

Thank you both, very interesting. I am not sure which path I will go down yet, but appreciate the information!

Mounting aluminum to frame
My son works in a trailer factory and makes horse trailers. Where steel touches aluminum, they use a double sided tape and rivets. Some companies use only the tape on some box trailers I have seen. The tape keeps corrosion from eating the aluminum and is really strong. We used a taped together box trailer to haul an 8400# pulling truck for several years with no trouble.

Eddie, Will, thank you very much!
I wanted to include some pictures that I have found with regards to the underside of aluminum bodies and the inner structural support. None of these are my pictures and are credited to their unknown sources. I am providing them for substructure reference.
