Quick question
Guys I'm making a visor for my buddies 50 Willy's truck. I wheeled out the main panel with a 12" radius wheel both directions with a rubber band upper wheel. I did this to give the panel just a tiny bit of body, not absolutely flat.
I'm going to tip 1/2" of the leading edge into a hem. I'm finding it to be just a little floppy, without the strength it needs. Should I stay off the outside 2" of perimeter so it stretches everything else and "pops" upward, or is this a scenario where you'd use a shrinking disc? Thanks IMG_20190121_190951006.jpg

I would imagine that between the tipped leading edge and the trailing edge fastened to the cab that most of the floppiness would be done with?

I got it sorted. I asked a metal shaping buddy online who told me to remove the upper rubber band and wheel long ways with the 12" radius wheel. Sure enough it tightened up!
