Same here, from TP Tools, the velcro works just fine. I think mine has about 180lb of lead in it...

Lightbulb San bag

This is what I did, uni entire circumference with a needle and thread, to fill a post left on the unferior tie with string and ready for use

Velcro here too, with #9 lead shot,has worked great so far.My garage space is limited,so I'm always picking it up and moving it, haven't had any issues yet.

I double stiched mine all the way round except for about and inch tied the stiches off then filled with sand and sewn up the last inch. So if I ever need to top it up or change the filling I only need to replace that inch's worth of stiching witough distrubing the rest!

I made a beater bag out of an old tire inner tube about 15 years ago. I folded the ends over 3 times and stiched them up with leather shoe strings. I filled it with play sand. It has held up to my occasional use.

Sewing the bag shut isn't as difficult as you might think. I'm making a new sandbag right now and I'm sewing the entire perimeter by hand.
I just finished this one. It will be turned inside out to be filled.
