Hi Everyone,
My name is Craig and I'm not really new to metal shaping per se. I'm looking to learn more skills. I'm currently building a 1966 Volvo Canadian and have started a YouTube channel covering Canadian build (mostly to avoid issues with forums and photobucket disasters). https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsx...n3CiBQFd4rMyXw Having the channel is motivation to get work done in the shop. It's like having a grizzly foreman breathing down your neck to get work done! I work in a very small two car garage (you could never get two cars in the building!) and I'm Canadian - so it's either too cold or too hot in the garage. I've learned a lot from reading books and making piles of misshapen parts. Through trial and error I can now, for the most part, make parts just the way I want to make them. I'd say that I've stopped fighting the metal and am learning how to craft it...but only just. But, of course, there is still the next level(s) of proficiency. Tools that I have include a full suite of Miller welders (both MIG and TIG) and I gas weld. I've got a knock-off Beverly shear that I've tuned and it works great. I built my own metal brake and have a shrinker/stretcher. I'm interested in getting a wheeling machine and asked a question on Facebook that has gone a little off the rails with random information and manhood measurement. I don't have the room or finances for a $10K machine. I need to make sheet metal inner fenders/transmission tunnel, and fix up some rear fender rust repair sections that were not really built very well (wrong shape). Anyway - there's my rambling first post.

Hi Craig
welcome to the forum Peter PS there is no need to have a lot of expensive machines to be able to make new panels a few good hand tools and some knowledge will do the job just the same Peter

I'm currently starting to do a little CAD work to see if I can fit a nice little fabricated wheeling machine into my shop. I'm sure this is going to be a steep learning curve - but they'll always make more sheet metal!
