Hey Ira, it's Chris from Wrays. I was up at the shop a few weekends ago doing some shaping. The chassis is looking great!

Great job on the chassis, looks like lots of hours cutting infills.

Thanks Oldnek, much appreciated! Lot's of hours, and lot's more to come!
Was bumped from the chassis table for a week while an Allard frame is brought back to life. Picked up the brackets at the water jet cutter and went right together. Always amazes me when a plan comes together. Enabled me to get the lower wishbones mounted and the hubs in place at ride height. Bent up a set of hoops (just leaning in place for time being) for the coil-over mounts and provide a mount surface for the still to be designed upper wish bone mount brackets. The current plan is for the hoops to be bisected by the upper rails. As far as I got this weekend.--I

Thanks Jordan!
After much, fretting, trial and error decided the hoops looked too heavy and out of place and interfered with the centrifugal supercharger belts. Didn't quite finish the passenger side upper rail which pulled in tacking so cut the tacks and need to finish up getting it in next week, but its sitting in place. Huge help from Steve, Toreadorxit, who came down to Wray's and put his quite considerable skills to work helping me design and model the upper suspension parts for the water jet. After weeks addicted to the Racing Aspiration Suspension Geometry App I generally knew where I wanted it to all end up, but was like magic watching Steve scan, input, design and clean up working parts ready for cutting. Tremendous appreciation!

Nice wok with all the tube chassis bends & joints.
If the chassis is sitting at ride height shouldn't the control arms be level to the ground??? Steve

Thanks Steve!!! The anti-dive geometry creates somewhat of an optical illusion. The lower control arm at midpoint between the mounting pivots is very close to horizontal, but given increased size in modern wheels I'll be running for performance 330/35/20 rear and 235/30/19 front, is a compromise biased ever so slightly (less than 2 degrees) down. The upper control arm pivots at midpoint were then modeled to get an instant center (taking all other compromises into account) as close as we could get to 120" and ended up at 112", producing a very low roll center. It's designed so we'll be able to dial it in with shims once its all completely finished and on an alignment table. --I

Looks like you made some nice progress this past weekend. The 3D scanning Steve did is really an awesome way of designing the mounting brackets. I'm interested in seeing the suspension design software you're using. Sounds like a great tool.
