Default New to All Metal-shaping

My Name is Jack Charles,
I work for Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, Wisconsin as a collision repair instructor. I enjoy learning about the tools and methods used in the early manufacture of automobiles and WWII aircraft.
We have recently added a 96 hour metal-shaping course to our curriculum at the school in order to teach craftsmanship era skills. Baileigh Industrial is one of our partners along with Miller Electric and Snap-on so we are very fortunate to have some nice tools.
I enjoy a challenge and look forward to learning and sharing information related to metal-shaping.
I am interested in stretch-forming, hammer-forming, flow-forming, press-forming, power-hammer work, wheeling, spinning, making rigid mode specialty tools for the MH-19 (have tool holders for 3/4" pullmax) machining, riveting, making jigs, mig, tig, gas welding, making bead roller tools, kirksite tooling, devcon plastic steel dies, plastic tooling, etc.

Welcome Jack. You've come to the right place to share information, and learn from others.

Hi Jack,

Welcome to the group, sorry I missed you when I left Dans, I had to go pick up my wife.

Swing by the shop anytime.

Cheers

Jack you and Dave were a welcome addition to my event . I wish you had gotten there sooner and we could have covered more ground . I wanted to show the flow forming stuff we talked on the phone about. Just hope we can do something in the fall like we talked about

Jack, Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry I missed you at Dan's, but I could only attend on Thursday this year. I do a smaller event in the fall: "Metalshaping in the North Woods" Perhaps you can attend. Oct 5, 6, & 7. in Cumberland.
