Howdy Y'all. I'm John Phelps (known as Johnny), from Rural Chrisman, IL and live on the IN line. Really! To find me on the map, go to Chi town, then just scootch right on down the IL/IN line until you get to US 36 Which forms a line between Indy and Springfield (Land of Lincoln). Then while you're having a cup of coffee at the diner or the convenience mart just ask anyone where Johnny Phelps lives and they will direct you to my farm where I have 2 140 ft long buildings full of unfinished projects. I owned and operated a body shop for 30 years right in between the diner and convenience mart at 36 & 71. The farm shop is more like Monster garage but is quite a nice Man Cave with plenty of equipment. You may see me drive up in a 1975 Australian Dodge Ute, which kinda looks like a Ranchero with right hand drive. Also I am getting ready to chop the top on a 55 Ford F100, restoring a 1987 5.0 Mustang Convert, a 47 Ford coupe for a buddy, and endless list of cars, trucks, and tractors. I just read the thread on the 53 F100 top chop and really respect these metal craftsmen. I will learn lots from these great guys while building my Ford.
