Default Lee Marshall passes on (Bonney Doon)

Lee Marshall of Bonney Doon Engineering has passed on.

Here is his obituary from the Santa Cruz Sentinel:

Thanks Kent, I'm afraid I didn't know him, but it seems he had a hell of a tough life. He sounds like quite a guy, to survive as long as he did.

Wow! Difficult to believe that one person could have so much bad luck. He probably really appreciated all the good things that happened to him though.

OMG...did not know the guy who invented the Bonney Doon system had such a fantastic life.
i remember lusting after one of his presses in the Rio Grande catalog but couldn't afford it.

RIP.

I spoke to him every so often during his Bonney Doon days. He was always upbeat and an inspiring and dynamic businessman. I thought it remarkable how quickly he built up his press design and then equipped it with a variety of forming dies - and then sold it to a very large jewelry supply company.

I'm sorry I did not catch him before he left us. I think he contributed very well to the metal forming field; adding to it a system that addressed some fairly obscure forming techniques in a very convenient and usable way.
