Jimmy thanks for posting this .Great work,I especially like the detail work like the door reinforcements. It is something that nobody would ever see and it would have been easy to skin a simple frame and be done with it, but it adds a degree of saftey. It is something I will consider in my next set of doors. I am very impressed.Bob

VERY impressive. I love the scratch build 'stuff', and this is an amazing display of creativity and talent.

Thank you for posting.

Default Thanks guys

Thanks you all for the nice comments. Terry as for as the step die I used around the windows. I have used allot of them to make things. Also in the middle of a panel. Just some of the factors you have to consider are material, thickness, amount of offset, clearance on the two halfs of the die. The aluminum I was using was 3003 easy to work. Had it been steel I would have done some prestreching. I will try to do a thread on some of the book die's I have made.

Beautiful Jimmy.

How did you secure the body to the inner support structure you built? Panel adhesive?

Brilliant, thanks for posting your own version of The Build, having read Ricks thread a couple of times its good to see it from your own point of view with loads of new photos. Pointers on how to tackle the problems as the hit you, something easily forgot, great thread from a true craftsman.

Thank you.
