Default Hello from Alan Bottomley

This is Alan Bottomley from Tasmania, Australia.
I have been invited to join this forum by John Alden ("Overkill").
I have enjoyed a little bit of fame as the inventor of the Magnabend electromatic sheetmetal bending machine.
Obviously I have a keen interest in metalforming and thus am looking forward to joining this forum.

Welcome Alan. I've read that you've made the plans for the machine available.

Default Welcome

Alan has informed me that there are differences between the Roper Whitney Magnabend and his E type magnetic brakes. I'm hoping to have a discussion about the difference, and the capabilities of magnetic brakes as compared to traditional brakes.

Thanks for participating Alan.

Hey Alan,

Welcome aboard! I look forward to hearing more about the uses of your Magnabend brake, I am currently looking at different options for a future purchase, and I am trying to gather info on the subject to make an informed choice. Great to have you here to get it straight from the horses mouth as it were.

Cheers,
