Default Where to acquire oil for the Pullmax

The oil level in the P7 is nearing the bottom of the sight glass, and I may be doing some maintenance in the near future, but I did not get any oil for it when I bought the machine from Clay Cook. I have a had a very difficult time getting Clay to return a phone call, so I am asking for help in locating a source for the Pullmax oil.

Advance Auto, WalMart, ect. Neil Dunder recommends 30 weight non detergent.

Clay will be happy to sell you a super specified product for probably $253.29 per gallon...plus shipping.

Pullmax oil....the perpetual question. I think as Kerry says the 30Wnon detergent will swork just fine. Also anything sold as compressor oil would be good. I would guess just about anything will work as long as it is a medium weight lubricant. There a lots of more important things to worry about. In our cars we probably just go with whatever the oil change guy puts in without even knowing what it is.

Richard,
What do you think about using hydraulic oil the kind used on a tractor.
It is offered for sale by Tractor Supply. Just seems like the machinery is similar

Oil is pretty much oil, lack of it is the problem!
New definitely, not too thick, not too thin.
Check out your motor factors for their cheapest brand.
Compared to just about anything mechanical modern, a Pullmax isnt too high tech!
A Pullmax wont froth etc and loadings are relatively small.
Most available and correspondingly cheapest at Factors is probably 10/40 mutigrade. I buy mine in the UK for about £10 per gallon.
Spending $200 + per gallon seems a little unnecessary!
Unless someone can correct me otherwise.
