Forming a Wippet radiator tank
Can't find a radiator to fit my Wippet radiator shell. It has a very unique shape and I doubt anything else will fit. Im planning to cut down a used core and form a new upper tank. I'm thinking copper/brass because it would be the easiest to solder together. Which material would work the best? I think copper would be the easiest to form but I don't know about brass. How about strength? Looks like some serious shrinking will be needed along the rear edge. Any ideas to simplify the operation?
I also have aluminum cores but don't know how would I seal the tubes to the upper flange. Anybody know how, or where to find the information? Thanks for any information. - Norm Henderson

Whippet Radiator
I remember reading a thread on the HAMB about making an aluminum radiator. It may be of help. Is it going on a Whippet or a Speedster?

radiator
Andy-
Thanks for the info on the Hamb. Plan on a speedster/lakester. Have a couple of 20's chev roadster cowls plus a back half. '28 chev banger motor. At this stage who knows.

I used these guys for a radiator for the 52 chevy truck that I am working on. I know it might not fit a restro job but maybe they could help you with your radiator.
