Phammer mounting?
I've seen a few of the high dollar setups with the phammer, post dolly mounted to the back side of the e-wheel. I have some material to make a stand for dollys. Is there any reason NOT to bolt the phammer to the e-wheel? I've been using my vise for both and i'm just trying to free up the vise

Make sure to pull the anvil out or clamp a piece of wood or plastic between the upper and the anvil when you're using the Phammer. You don't want the upper and lower wheels beating on each other. If you have any bolted hardware on your wheel, check it from time to time.
I used to have my bead roller and phammer mounted on the same stand....and pieces would fall off of the bead roller from time to time. The phammer would shake the hardware loose after a while. Tim D. |

This question comes up from time to time. There is no reason you CAN'T if that's something you want. Obviously the PHammer will vibrate/bounce everything attached to it so store your anvils accordingly. Also expect the aduster to wind DOWN unless it's fairly tight.
I'm not a fan of multi-tool work stations for a couple reasons: - You have to have access to all the tools which typically means a fairly wide walkway all the way around the tool. - The tools are not necessarily where you want them. I prefer to take the tools where I'm working rather than walk my shoes off hiking back and forth. Even my previous big Ewheel got moved around so I could see what I'm trying to build. The new monster is movable enough but I doubt it will get moved much. It all comes down to personal preference.

One more thing Ted, If you have things on separate stands and design them right, you can 'nest' them away when you don't need them. Some folks are really limited on available space.

I agree nesting can be a real space saver. Gary (PRO70Z28) did a beautiful job with the tools in his shop. Over time I plan to make the tools I use the most "stand alone" because I have the room. In the short term for a handfull of hardware (cheap) I can unclutter my floor. And now I know not to let my anvils rattle out onto the floor
