Default Press forming stainless mesh

Our wagon is getting a few speakers installed, all of which came with plastic trim rings. This is far from acceptable in a mid-fifties car build, so we opted for something a bit more period looking. Trim rings were machined in aluminum and chrome plated, and the grill "cloth" is 304 stainless from McMaster.....this one for the sub in the cargo area of the wagon. We planned on a recessed factory crest in the stainless mesh, so the mesh was aligned in our aluminum plates and pressed in the Diacro press brake using flattening dies.

Another neat idea done with minimal tooling. Thanks for sharing. ~ John Buchtenkirch
