New Restoration Addict From Texas
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum but very interested in all aspects of metalworking and the tools, styles of work, machines and everything else that goes into turning a piece of metal into whatever art the eye can see in it. I have just about every wood working tool on the market from being a contractor for years. My dream since I can remember has always been cars and trucks and making custom machines that would inspire the next generation to push or take it to the next level. Don't pass up that rusty looking metal with wheels in that pasture, stop and start up a conversation with the owner. You never know what piece of history you might learn about or what new project you may have in your garage when you wake up. Not to mention you might make a friend for life. I look forward to reading, learning and getting to know the members here. SO ONE BIG YEEHAW from Texas! Zane |

Welcome Zane! We are almost neighbors. I live in Combine, just south of the Crandall dragstrip. We frequent the best restaurant in your town all the time, Fourwinds Steakhouse!!!

Hello Everyone
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to say thanks for the welcome replies, I look forward to getting to know everyone and I know I will be learning a great deal from all of y'all. I have been reading posts and replies to the point I am about blind. Just when I think I am going to put it down for the night something else catches my eye and next thing you know it is 4:30 in the morning and time to get ready to start work. I hope everyone has a great day and keeps the projects rolling. What an Awesome site this is. I feel very lucky to be a part of all the collective knowledge and skilled on this site. |
Hey Tim
Tim,
that is great, we are pretty close. Maybe I can get a chance to swing by sometime and look at your projects. Also maybe I could pick your brain about my pullmax machine. I believe it is a P9 but I have seen a couple of P6s that look like it as well. The Info Plate is gone off of it and it didn't come with anything in the way of extras or tooling. It was nice hearing from you and hopefully we can talk again soon. If anyone has a lead on a manual for these machines I would love to buy one. You can email me or message me. Thanks again everyone for the warm welcome. |
Zane, a P9 has 1" square tooling, P7 & P8s have 7/8 tooling, P6 & P5 have 3/4" tooling

New to my Pullmax
Kerry
Thanks that answers my question and teaches me something new. I have a P6 with 3/4 inch tooling. I appreciate the help. Zane |
Watch eBay Zane. There is a guy from Ft Worth that sells reproductions of the original manuals from time to time. I bought one off him way back when I bought my P9.
If you are out this way, give me a holler! |
P6 Manual
Tim, sorry for the mistake, but now you have a copy too!
