Frohe Weihnachten aus Deutschland ;-)
Hello guys,
my name is Christian. I come from germany. First I want to say, that my english is not so good as my metalshaping qualities. If I wrote something. I will be all discribe so good as I can. Please, don't look so accurate on my syntax or spelling. For this a funny Story: I was recently in England to buy a old english Wheel. Everytime I spoke, all people around me had a big smile in their faces. To my own person: I learned coachbuilding ( in german it´s called:“Karosserie-und Fahrzeugbauer“). I have my own business here and offer restoring classic cars, especially I take care of the metalskin/metalshaping. I registered in this forum, because im interested to see what other people in the world can do with sheet metal. And later I want to show you, what I am doing here in germany. I´m happy to get here. Greetings Christian PS: the translation from the Title: merry Christmas from germany |

Attachment 30677at first, I can show you a Picture from my new "old" english wheel.
It was my own Christmas present! Later I show you pictures from my work. |
Wow! Where do you find it and how much did they cost?
|
I found it in the middle of England. Then I drove 2500km (1550miles) in two days and now it´s in my workshop.
The costs... too much to tell it ;) But I think a F.J. Edwards Wheel looks pretty cool on my workshop, since the price is secondary |
Christian
The wheel looks nice. Might I suggest you add about 100mm spacer under the legs to get the working height up to a more comfortable level. |
thanks for the tip. I agree with you.
But I want to build a drawer between the feet and the casting for the bottom wheels/dies/anvils (I dont know what is the best word for the bottom roles). I can show it when its ready. Another Question. if I want to show pictures of my past works, should I post them here or should I open a new thread? greetings Christian PS: If I could, i would sleep on the wheel :D |
Christian
Open a new thread to show your past work. |
Welcome Christain don't worry about your English it is 10,000 times better than most of our German. This is a great site . Something for every skill level,
|
Thanks for all your nice welcome.
I will show you a few pictures of my past work in the next few days. There is nothing breathtaking, but I think it's quite nice to show. until then, greetings Christian |

Hi Guys,
I wanted to show you pictures of my work. Unfortunately, I was very busy. In Germany they say: (Arbeit zieht Arbeit nach sich) It has taken a bit longer, but here is my new website. I don´t know where to show my pictures / swebite, so I'll do it here.:dunce: Best Regards Christian www.karosseriekunst.de |
