Hello from the Las Vegas, Nv. area

I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago and found it to be very informative. The first thing I found was David's youtube stuff and got facinated by what he does with hand tools. So ofcourse I had to get his DVD. Since it has arrived and I've had a chance to watch it, all I can say is WOW!!!!. You are a master in your craft. I plan to watch a few hundred more times and hope I don't wear it out.

I would love to be able to restore my 58 Chevy big window using his techniques.

What metal shaping could you possibly have to do with a NV truck???
Should be rust free in the dry climate  When you start the restoration, be sure to post pictures of the progress! We love pictures :D

Truck wasn't always in NV. I bought it back in 1989 when i lived in San Diego. I have the usual things to fix, cab corners, hole in roof (not sure why), pin holes in hood, front fenders, that kind of stuff. This is going to take a while since I am currently unemployed.

But I have pulled a few things off and have been playing a little. I am working on getting a few dents out of the stock grill, to start with.

Hey Joe,

I am currently working on a 55 Big Window, doing all the regular stuff. Just did the cab corners this morning in fact. I am doing it for a customer, so I have a lot more time to spend on it than you do, I'm sure, but I'll try to help out if I can.

Thanks for the kind words! I am glad you liked it. Post photos of your truck so we can see what you are working with.
