New guy

Hello
My name is Mathias and I'm living in Sweden. I love tools (don't we all) and have built and collected some over the years. So now then I got the tools I got to learn how to use them... Right now I have a Dodge -55 with a chopped top. thats how I started learning the english wheel.... not the best way, I know, but I needed a new top so the only option I had was to make a new one.

Cheers
Mathias

Welcome Mathias. We have several members from Scandinavia. Do you have any photos of your top chop?

Mathias,Thanks for joining us at AllMetalShaping, hope we can help you learn how to use your tools. Pictures of the chopped top on your Dodge would be of interest to me also.

The pic is suppose to be my dodge, it is chopped about 2" but I did also make it about 1" wider to to keep the door post to lean as they do originaly. The rear window is new, it is originaly a panorama window back there but to make it to blend in better with the new top I made a new smaller window.

That is a nice top, looks a little lumpy though and I am not sure the pink goes with the blue. But the scarifices we all make.:D It looks like the top on the car came out well. I really like the looks of the rear window. Nice job.

Yes I know, I would have prefferd the pink top off, but you can't have it all...

I'm pretty pleased with the rear window myself, because it is, besides the top, among the first parts I do not using the bend, cut and weld method. And I belive it has every sorts of shape a car has in it.
