Hello from Northwest Ohio

Hello!
I've been lurking around on this site for a long time now, and as helpful and friendly as it has been, I finally got tired of not being able to see some of the pictures of other folks projects. I'm here to learn and improve my shaping skills. I really like seeing some of the fantastic and innovative work y'all do here. Hopefully someday I will have some to add.

I'm mostly interested in learning more about working sheet steel as I'm trying to not ruin my car as I slowly fix the numerous issues it has. Most everything has to be made from scratch, nobody sells premade anything for a '63 Lincoln Continental.

I'll probably just continue lurking in the back for awhile.
Have a good day!

Hi Drew

Instead of lurking, jump in the deep end !

Have a go and post your work. Post your successes and failures. It wasn't until I risked embarrassment that I actually learn't something. No one will take the pi$$ out of someone who is having a go because we simply don't know what we don't know.

Its more fun to look back on where we started rather than waste time worrying about what someone may think

If you're starting out, help other newbies by risking failure. All the skills here are pretty much learnt and its more important to have a go, get it wrong, then figure out what went wrong, rather than just admire the more accomplished guys work ( They will have their share of "almost worked" too) :

Good luck with the Lincoln. Black, I presume? ( Cool car !)

PS
Wasn't Corporal Klinger on M*A*S*H from Toledo ? Maybe Mike knows him ?

Cheers John
