Brandon from East Texas

Hi, I'm Brandon. My home is in East Texas, I hope that's a good enough location. I would like to be a member of this forum to view the photos from a thread speaking about TM2000 and AGW lenses.
I have been searching for all different types and colors of welding lenses since I was 15 years old; I'll be 30 this month. I've thrown literally thousands of dollars at lenses and hoods of all sorts, just so I could compare and contrast, to find my perfect welding set up.

Welcome to the forum, Brandon.
When I started developing the TM2000, back in..... '79?.... I started wearing the prototypes for all my gas welding. And then I would change over to the other standard stuff ... for a minute or two.
After finalizing the design for production in 1989, it was nice to have confidence in a robust version, because I sorta live in my shop....
Now, after these years I'm still wearing it and have not found anything better, though I have tried some that made insistent claims "just like..." or "better than..." - sumbunkums - but maybe I've just gotten used to it...? Eyes checked at 20-20 last summer, no surgery, but I wear reading glasses.
Keep me posted on your findings, please?
Again, welcome. :):):)

Welcome to the forum, Brandon.

I've had Kent's TM2000 gas welding lens since winter 2000-2001 when I ordered his O-A aluminum welding kit. Cannot say enough good things about it or his aluminum welding flux.

I exclusively use the lens when gas welding both steel and aluminum. It has no peer that I have found. It makes the shiny puddle visible without the distraction of color gradients. Buy one, use it and you'll not be disappointed.

Other things like a gas-saver, piezio ground striker and his Meco Midget & lightweight lead hoses are either already here or on my list as must-haves after seeing them in action and hearing what other experts think of them.

Free, unsolicited commercial done....
