Woody's Intro

First of all thanks for the invite Johny.;)
My name is Ian Woods some of you already know me as woody2 from the Hamb, I live in Wellington New Zealand.

I live and breath cars and bikes allways have allways will.:D

I work as a Chassis Fabricator/Welder for a Rod shop over here called
Juniors Kustom Rides and Classics.

I'm just a novice at the art of metal shaping, The only tuition Ive had was a two day course with Ron Covell late last year, Im looking forward to doing another latter this year.

I've got a huge amount to learn from you guys, So thanks in advance for your time and knowledge and I hope I can share what little I have with you all. Cheers Woody.

Woody, welcome to the site. Think we are all still learning about metal shaping and will continue to do so as long as we work with metal. Show us some of the projects that you have been working on.

DUDE! That is some sweet work! What is the first photo? Frame rails for ???

WOODY 05-16-2009 10:57 PM

frame rails

Thanks Kerry, The frame rails are for a 32 Ford, I'd just finished boxing them in the spine jig when I took the photo.

Nice work woody

Start a new thread on that rear fender. That fender came out sweet.Your metal finish on your welds are outstanding.

WOODY 05-16-2009 11:54 PM

Finish your welds.

Johnny your too kind. I've always thought that metal finish was just that. If you can still see the weld bead it just dosn't look finished to me.
I do have a secret weapon to achive these results though, Have you ever tryed to bump the weld into a lead dolly?
