Just recommended to you guys

I build stuff, I have a 20+ year background in machine building and fabricating. I have build machines for assembly lines, fixture for testing equipment and have spent the last 15 years of my life running a manufacturing business that catered to the classic truck industry.

Self taught on Alibre' 3D solid modeling, own a nice CNC Plasma table, TIG and MIG welders, 45 Ton pressbrake and bucketloads of ingenuity.

Some of my stuff:

Steve, welcome to the site and thanks for the introduction. Looks like you have made and designed some nice tools.

Hey Steve. Nice shop you have there. What is the first machine, a Helve?

ELpolacko 12-01-2010 02:02 PM

Thanks!

Yup, Helve. I have a friend here that built one a while ago and really impressed on what he can accomplish with it. I couldn't afford one of Baiglieh's power hammers, so I figured I could build multiple machines of my own design and maybe later buy one like theirs.

It's good that you have made holes to bolt it down. It is going to want to jump a bit.

Yep, figured that out when I first started researching the builds on these. Also why I built it out of 3/8" stock and a 1/2" plate bottom and welded it with ESAB Dual-Shield 710X cored wire. Figured it might be under a bit of stress. ;)
