Newbie from Michigan.

Hello to everyone here. Ive been a lurker for sometime. Im interested in learning more about this art. My name is Jason and I live in Michigan, work as a sevice writer for a busy repair shop. I own a 1950 Chevy and a 1930 Ford "project". The older I get the harder it seems to "just buying" things when Im doing projects. I would rather build it and learn more about something than just buy something and bolt it on. Hope I can learn and contribute here.

Welcome aboard, always good to see another Michigander, from the town I was born in no less.

Welcome Jason. My first car was a 50 Deluxe. My Dad had it given to him. Wouldn't run. He dragged it home on a chain and told me I needed to get it running if I wanted anything to drive. Lots of good memories of that car. It had rotten areas in the rear quarter that I just filled with steel wool and bondo.

It was 1964 and I was 15. I know where it is but it's rotted into the ground.

Thank you to everyone for the welcome. I have a 1930 model A cowl and doors from a 4 door that I picked up. My favroite cars of all time is a roadster so I've been looking around to try to make my own rear quater panels for one. I've already removed the wood and repaired the rust on the doors. I also cut the tops off and filled the top edge. I will try to get some pictures up soon.
