Hello from Hamilton Ontario
Hey Guys,
So im working on my first Cafe Racer, Bitsa, Not realy sure what it is yet. And i have some S/S work to do for the seat pan and maybe some work on the headlight also. I am a fairly good stainles steel tig welder but have not realy worked with fine sheet metal and curved shapes. Working in the food manufacturing industry i can buld conveyors till the cows come home but sheet metal is another beast. Im hoping on a little knowlage and advice from the people out there that are in the know. Machine is a 1976 XS650 Cheers and thanks in advance. Tesla |
Welcome aboard Tesla!
You'll find lots of information here for learning the techniques you're after, as there's always a motorcycle project or two going on at any time. I've got a 78 XS650 over here myself, but I never did get to far with the ideas I originally had in mind for it. Also, be aware that there's quite a few members here from around the Golden Horseshoe area. We get together for metalshaping events quite frequently these days, as recently as last weekend as a matter of fact. :) keep your eyes on the events section of the forum, as we'll likely be doing it again sometime in September. Enjoy the website! |
Welcome to the site Tesla.
