New guy from Glasgow, Scotland

Hi guys,

My names Brian Watson i live in Glasgow, Scotland. I have been into old cars for as long as i can remember, started with the more comon place small uk cars from the fifties back in the mid to late seventies. What i always wanted was an american car though, finally scratched that itch in 79 with a 68 camaro, pro-streeted that. Moved onto my first hot rod, 49 fordson van, pro streeted that, then a 41 Willys coupe, pro-streeted that big block tunnel ram the works. Family dictated a move from prostreet and two seaters and the 47 ford sedan came to the fore, euro style low n sleek in tangerine candy first time out for 4 years then black n flamed, tri carbed, pin stripped for the next 4 years. The kids are now up n doing there own thing, this has let me go for another 2 seater and my current car / project is a 33 ford 3 window coupe. Bought this from a guy in Buffalo NY and thought i had a really good start to my next hotrod. Once the paint n bondo came off my worst nightmares were realised. Some of you guys may have already seen my car as my friend Ian, redoxide, on here is actually carrying out the metal work on my behalf. I have spent a couple of days helping Ian and he showed me how the english wheel can shape steel and i think im hooked, its very theraputic if you have the patience. I dont think i will do much metal shapping on the 33 but once its completed and i have cash put aside i know i will invest in the metal working tools before doing another car. Im here to watch, listen and learn.
