Ken Boetzer signing up
Good afternoon, Ken Boetzer here. I'm a recently retired mechanical engineer, a veteran of 30+ years in the valley of the sillycon, a wrenchy trapped in a sparkies world so to speak. Actually it was occasionally worse in that the software guys are even more whatever than the electrical engineers. :-) I mean that in the nicest possible way! I've been a car freak since Ford was a private company, and Jimmy Clark (RIP!!) arrived at Indy. I worked for a Cobra racer, Don Roberts in Phoenix as a fabricator/machinist in the early 70's and decided that to live the life I wanted I needed to get more education so I got me Mech Eng degree and migrated to the silicon valley. GOOD MOVE!! :-) I have two cars to occupy my retirement and I'll get to them just after I rebuild the house for the wifemate. Probably next year about this time I will commence. I have a '57 Jag XK-140 Drophead Coupe, and a 36 Ford Phaeton that I intend to install the 429 that is sitting in the attic, and make it a dual cowl model just to make it interesting. I hope to build the Desert Hybrids Pullmax clone, and acquire an English wheel. It just seems like a good idea. :-)! Anyway I hope also to be able to contribute as well as learn from all of you.
Cheers, Ken |
