Gday all
My name is Chris, based in NSW (east coast, Australia) and working as an Industrial arts teacher. Currently building a ww1 biplane but used to have a little blacksmith set up until my elbow crapped out! Now I mainly play with rebuilding my 16" lathe, and a metal spinning lathe. I just finished a bead roller and want to begin an E-wheel, soooo here I is!

Cheers
Thanks for the welcome!
I teach metalwork, woodwork, graphics, technology and design. It's called TAS, "technology and applied sciences". I build metal working gear for my plane really, plus I enjoy making kit that works but I must admit I will never paint things.... Get it built, use it, coat of inox and push it to the back of the shed. I'm restoring an old WW2 lathe and a bloody great spinning lathe which I'm really looking forward to firing up. Chris |
Hello Chris,
Welcome! What WWI airplane are you building? I've always had a strong interest in that era but my only direct experience was flying a Dr.1 replica a few times. It was quite an education comparing it to more modern aircraft. Stop by the Biplane Forum and say hello sometime, t's a friendly group too, just like this place. |
