Greetings from a swing state
Hello everyone...My name is Art. I am in Orlando, FL and I own Law Dawg Restorations, LLC and BlastOff, LLC. I have been involved in the restoration business for nearly thirty years and have been painting as long. I recently finished my 31st frame off restoration, a 1970 542 Olds Cutlass convertible for an attorney friend. We specialize in paint and rust removal at BlastOff, and at Law Dawg, we seem to be specialzing in rusty panel replacement of late. Having the blast shop gives us a great opportunity to let customers see what the condition of their car is and while it is here, most choose to have us replace the bad metal. We also have a 30 foot paint booth and pride ourselves on world-class paint, body and welding work. When I am not working on cars, I am a practicing attorney here in Florida and I usually practice criminal and family law. Recently we have had some cars (a 1956 Mercedes 300 C Adenauer) that need a ton of metal work and there are no panels available. Sorry 67 Mustangs and 69 Camaros are no brainers. With that in mind, I am leaning more and more toward going at metal fab as another service to offer customers. With the addition of another 3,600 ft2 shop we just opened, I have the space to start a hardcore metal fab shop since I have room for the equipment. The new shop brings us up to just under 10,000 ft2. Not that I need more to do, but I wanted to join this site to grab some new ideas for metal fab. I love being a lawyer, but at the end of the day I need to see something I made with my hands not my mouth. Thank everyone for making such a great site and I look forward to being a part of Allmetalshaping. Art
