a friendley hello from switzerland
hello Im mike
I have had a growing intrest in metal shaping and techniques for about 2 years now... got bored of wood ( cut things twice and there still too short ):) lol Also needed something new and more flexible regarding creativity. I bought a 1961 simson 425 250cc love it for the look of the motor and general simpliity Clean looks and almost a little bit barbaric. Which i am planning on restoreing and modifying it to suit my taste which i hope will be both classic and modern.:D I recently got an amazing welding kit from oerlikon switzerland. ( citiotig 230 ac/dc) Im planning on building a few metalworking mashines with it. As im half english myself the 1st will be the english wheel followed by a planishing hammer/Powerhammer combo if possible. Any tips and sugestions regarding the build of such mashines are apreciated. I have little experience whatsoever in metall working but im a quick learner with a strong drive to perfection. I have just purchased a dvd and was glued to it !!! its realy good :D It showes the versatility of hand tools verry well and would suit your needs perfectley as it is focused on panel replacing and how to do it the best way. hope it helps. heres the link : http://www.metalshapingzone.com can realy recomend it have fun Friendly regards:) michael towlson |
