well this is my first shot at posting. been checking out the forums here and at the other metalshaping sites, found them through choppers handbook.
first of all i want to say WHAT A GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE YOU ARE!!
to freely share your trade ,hobby, passion.!
i've worked the past ten years in a shop in south florida building packaging machinery. forced into early retirement in 2008 after a bad motorcycle accident. i spend much of my time in my shop at home here in NW ohio building bikes,tools and any metalworking project (and woodworking!) that i can get my hands on. when i get the hang of posting i'll share some of the stuff i've done, i'll cut this short i tend to ramble:lol::lol::lol:

I seen that you wrote you were cutting up material for a e wheel.Do you have a plan yet?If not check out Kerry Pinkerton's design it's the best out there.Lot of room for adjustment and is very stiff.

yes kerry's design is the best i've seen, but the one i'm putting together right now is from some stuff i had laying around and some some scrapyard shopping. i'm also limited to straight cuts on all but the small tubing. it's only 18 in throat so it should be fairly stiff plan on building a large wheel later if needed. also using kick wheel due to handicap.
