New from Blanchardville WI
I have been a full time blacksmith since 1968. In our shop we do a range of work from high end curved railings to truck bumpers. Our company name is Postville Blacksmith Shop. We are located 1 hour SW of Madison.
Last weeks finished items- 1000 spring clips for construction mats, a welded and re-machined ram foe a forging hammer in Vancouver BC, a spiral stair and railings for a local account, round bale holder rebuilt, installed a replica antique rail, re threaded a snow plow pivot bolt, sold and shipped several anvils from our other company Old World Anvils. We import and sell fly presses and anvils. We have 3 men in the shop , one person in the office. We have had many journeymen visit and stay from around the world. The shop is 7000 square feet. One side is blacksmithing and fabrication, the other machining and shipping. Bob |

Hi. Welcome, also from Wisconsin, I just joined too. I grew up watching my dad use his forge. Always interesting to watch!

HI Robert
Welcome to the forum Peter |
Hi Robert, welcome to the forum, You have a nice big workshop there. I am sure your existing skills will come into play when you begin shaping sheet metal. I did wrought iron work for a while and I find I use many of the same skills now.
