New guy from Indiana

Hi All,

Complete newbie here. As the calendar pages flip faster and faster, bucket list items move to the fore. So I am trying to figure out what my bucket list car ... or cars (?) look(s) like. I'm here to learn, and at least in the beginning, wisecrack where necessary. I have bought that British guy's DVD (loved it) and want to learn more.

I'm in Indiana, about an hour south of Indy. Teach drafting and design classes now after a long time in engineering, which, by the way, does NOT make you an expert fabricator!

THanks to all for sharing their expertise here!

David - sorry I didn't quote you by name - I had forgotten your name, the DVD was in the player downstairs and I was too lazy to go look it up. Please feel free to quote me for publicity purposes. For a beginner, or near beginner, I think your DVD is a great value. I would guess that even experienced metal workers would be surprised at what you can do with relatively simple equipment, as you demonstrate on the DVD.

I know there is a "Tools" discussion elsewhere on the forum, but I'll pose a question here. Do you have a list of the tools YOU consider necessary to do the work you demonstrated in the DVD?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Mark
