Race Cars and Restorations

My name's Kevin. I found this site while looking for tips on general metal fabrication for automotive purposes.

Mainly I'll be working a lot on my dad's old '67 F100, which he left me after he passed away. It's been in a pasture for a few years, so I know there will be a bit of metal work that needs to be done, would definitely like to have a no nonsense community to seek advice from (which it seems this is the right place).

Also I have a race car that I will be working on from time to time, but most of the major metal work on it is already done. At some point in the future I plan on re-doing the interior sheet metal, I'm hoping to find some pointers on this forum also.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, welcome to the forum. Look around and you will find lots of information. Don't be put off by the amount of tools and machines some of us have, most things can be done with very few tools. Once you have some experience you can decide what tools and machines you need.

Welcome to the site Kevin. I used to build some race cars for some folks in Merrit.

Welcome Kevin. Old Fords are great trucks. Restoring your late father's truck is priceless. You just let us know when you need some help.
