Introduction - Edoggy

My name is William and I live in Quebec, Canada. I am new to metal shaping and would like to learn more on how it's done and especially how I can make my own shaping equipments. I also want to see how others do things and also share my experiences if possible.

I work as a draftsman and build small machines as a hobby.

Thanks,

Hello William, welcome to allmetalshaping. You don't need a lot of machines to get started. In fact it is wise to learn how to shape metal by hand to begin with. It will always be necessary to do hand work no matter how many machines you have. Learning where to put the joints and how to weld without causing too much distortion is another important skill. Look around and you will find lots of info here.
