Default New Guy

Hello,

I have done a few small metal shaping projects I would like to refine my skills with the right tools. Ultimately I want to build an all metal car, that’s my end goal.

Always enjoyed hammering out shapes on the panel beater bag. I just want to start small and possibly make furniture or a sculptor or something. Maybe try using an English wheel next.

Did do a set of steel gullwing doors on a show car many years ago. That was very challenging, fitting custom door seals, and mounting of the lift springs so the doors would open easily which took a few attempts. Then built custom window frames and making the windows roll up and down, yikes it almost set m over the edge. It was a fun challenge and the final car turned out great.

I recently played around with fiberglass and made a body from molds. That project turned out good and was fun, once I was done with the itchy fiberglass work. But I definitely had my fill of fiberglass work.

Working in all metal has always been the most fun.

Sorry for the life story.

Thanks,

David
