Hi everyone,

I teach metal fabrication and foundry at an art school. I'm always learning new stuff so that I can expand my own knowledge base and pass it along to my students. I've been doing some metal shaping for a little while and would like to be here to see the perspective of other members that have more experience and advice.

In my shop we've go MIG, TIG, O/A welding, a CNC plasma cutter, Bridgeport and BP Clone mills, a small CNC converted Grizzly mill, a lot of older machinery, Sheldon 12" shaper, Rockwell and K.O. Lee surface grinder, shrinker/stretchers, english wheel, and about half a billion hand tools. In the work is a Pullmax style reciprocating hammer, a pneumatic planishing hammer, and hopefully a Yoder style fabricated power hammer. Last summer I was finally able to study with Fay Butler, which further fueled my desire to get fully tooled up for shaping.

Looking forward to learning more and helping where I can.
