Hi all!
Now to something completly diffrent than I usely do...
I will have a class in the future and the girls like to learn how to create some homestyling products, like flowers and small boxes....
So I give it a try..I feel that if I get students here I need to try some before..espeselly when I newer have done any thing even close to this
So I just made a flexpattern of a heart made of ceramic, this part of making patterns will be included in the class.
I then cut out the copper piece, itīs 0,6 mm thick and anleaded so itīs pretty soft.
I get surprised how tricky it was to do this one, very little of material to play around with makes it hard to shape...
When I was satisfied with the overall shape of the front and back part I folded in a little flange....little is the right word...
It took some playing before both pieces lay totaly flat at the bench
Finally when all looks ok I put on some tinpaste (same as I use to prepare metal before lead works)
Sorry that this project carryed me away so I forgotted to shot some progress pics ..but this is the result anyway...next step will be to make some higes so the "box" will be complete!
To sum this up: itīs really much harder than it looks like to make so small things, A fender for a bike or like that is so much more forgiving than this one..I promise..
Hope I give you some ideaīs now...and next time I will try to use the camera..
Take care!
