Kerry - I'm with the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association and we set up an LZ each year. Until the last couple of years we've been up by the front gate but the last two, we've been in the sites east of the welding tents.
If you come as a "tourist", and if we are still setting up the display, we would be glad to have you stop by. We don't know how much longer we'll be doing the show either due to politics, age, participation, etc...
This is an open invite to all members to stop by also. I make a point of visiting the metalshaping site several times during the show and have learned much by watching, listening, and asking. This may be the closest I'll ever get to a real metalmeet.
I enjoy each visit, however.
