Default Texas Howdy!

Greetings from Texas!

I've been the proud owner of a '63 Fairlane Ranch Wagon for the past four years. I'm trying to move ahead with my project while keeping my three kids happy as can be (6, 4, and 1.5 yrs).

I have floor pan replacement, patch to the quarter panel, and a couple other areas that will need attention. I enjoy the challenge of trying these repairs myself, I'm still learning the skills of welding but I'm about ready to move to the car. My oldest daughter's bicycle bell recently broke and I found great satisfaction creating a new 'ring' lever from a piece of scrap metal. It's not perfect (needed to start with wider piece) so the throw on the gears I cut don't have enough curve, but I still made something that 90% worked and would certainly outlast the bell!

Regardless, as I garner more free time in the years to come I will fill them with welding/metal projects because I've just found I like them better than woodworking.

Cheers!
