Hello fellow metalshapers,

My name is Brent Likes. I live in Ottawa, Kansas and I grew up around old cars. My dad has been collecting cars for 30+ years and I got my first old car when I was 12 years old. It was a 1948 Ford two door sedan. I didn't have much money to build this car because I was so young at the time, but I did have some of my dads tools at hand along with some sheetmetal.

So, I began my journey of learning to make my own panels. The first thing I did was learn how to shape metal with hammers and dollies, once I figured out that process I began to learn more ways of shaping metal. Then I was introduced to the English Wheel, I had wanted one for years after that and eventually I built one in 2004.

When I was studying English wheel anvils I ran across Metalshapers.org where there is tons of knowledge on metalshaping, then I found Metalmeet.com, and now allmetalshaping.com.

As of right now I am interested in all types of metalshaping, metalshaping tools and theories. When I have some interesting metalshaping content I will try and post it. I like the thought of going to a regional MetalMeet. I have not been to any yet, but I need to get around to some eventually so I can meet other members.
