Hi, I'm Brent. I'm a wildlife biologist in Montana. I've done a few modest auto body repair projects in the past, but I've recently pulled my 1973 Porsche 914 that I've had for 30 years out of the weeds for a full, stripped to bare metal, restoration. Details of that project can be
seen here if you are interested. There is a lot of rust repair to be done on this car that will require replicating sheet metal parts. So I'm hoping to learn from this community to up my remedial metal shaping skills. I'm particularly interested in hammer forming techniques as that seems the best way to get where I need to go with a minimum investment in tools. I'm also an accomplished woodworker with a well-equipped shop, so making hammer forms plays to my strengths I think.
Looking forward to soaking up the wisdom here.
