Default New guy from SF Bay Area, (East Bay)

Greetings all.

Name is Mike, I'm in Antioch California.

Went to A&P school many years, never actually worked on an aircraft outside of school since I went into a completely different field once graduating from Gavilan Collage at the Hollister airport.

Anyway, here I am, deciding that I want to get back into metal shaping for some current and upcoming projects.

Projects or future projects you ask?

Current - restoring/modifying my Volvo 242.

Near future - go carts with body work for my 7 year old twin girls, a custom framed and bodied moped and I'm sure I'll come up with more harebrained ideas.

I have a small workshop at home that is way too small or perhaps just the right sized if I threw away or sold 50% of the stuff creating the clutter.

Most of my stuff is inexpensive yet workable.

Old Bridgeport 3 axis CNC mill I converted to run on Mach3
HF 3-in-1 shear/brake/roller
Old Sebastian 14x40 gear head lathe
MIG welder, Oxy/Acet setup and a Longevity Combo TIG/Plasma cutter

Thanks and please bare with me if I ask a silly question!

Mike
