Hi All
Just joined and here are a few details about myself.
After leaving school I did an apprenticeship in welding at VSEL Shipyard (now Bae) in Barrow-in-Furness, England. After completing this (4 years) I joined the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer and have worked my way to a Warrant Officer Nuclear Supervisor on a PWR2 Reactor Plant.
My hobbies not surprisingly are Metalwork/Engineering particularly restoring my 1984 Porsche 944 which needs a bit of work! I currently have a Portamig 185 Mig welder and a Raglan Littlejohn lathe. I am looking forward to learning new techniques and might even be able to pass the odd thing on lol.
I currently live near Faslane on the west coast of Scotland.
Thanks for looking

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum, Mitch here from the mig welding forum and waiting on my Portamig. You need to be careful with this forum, too much temptation when it comes to all the metal shaping kit out there that you'll want to get.

Cheers,

Mitch

Thanks for the replies, it will be worth the wait for the Portamig Mitch. I can see the wife loving me asking for some more gear
