Default Hello Everyone!

My name is Don and I live in Oklahoma City. I've been lurking here for a while and decided it was time to finally join. I am currently restoring a 1970 GTO and looking to improve my skills. I have previous experience with stick welding and metal shaping thicker material in a fully equipped shop. We built\rebuilt truck mounted drums for local concrete delivery companies. But that was 20+ years ago and a world away from working thin panels in a home garage with only hand tools and a mig welder.

G'day Don,
welcome to the forum. I like those early gto's, my friend Trev just sold his 64 and bought a 67 silver with red trim. One tip to start with is go down a few sizes in hammer before tackling a bonnet or mudguard. I think your old ones might be a bit to heavy.

best wishes and welcome
Bluebeard.
