Default New Guy From The Ozarks

I've been a car guy for as long as I can remember. It started sometime when I was a kid. My early fascination with cars centered around the metalworking done on customs and hot rods; chopping, channeling, sectioning bodies, panel beating, etc. I used to buy every magazine and book I could find that had anything to do with metalworking.

I started to learn how to weld and fabricate as a teenager but most of my fabrication has been boring industrial projects or repair work, making machines, or parts for machines.

My goal by joining this forum is to develop the skills that I found so fascinating early on - making parts and panels from sheetmetal.

Marty, welcome and thanks for the nice introduction. You started like many of us did but had nobody to teach you and learning on your own takes a lot of time and lots of scrap. Hope you enjoy the site and learn more about metal shaping. Thanks for joining us.
